Overview

Chico Chip Co. is a small, independent snack company born in Northern California and built on the belief that great food doesn’t need shortcuts. Founded by a Chico State graduate with a passion for clean, local ingredients and honest craftsmanship, we make potato chips that reflect the spirit of our hometown: simple, flavorful, and made with care. What started as a local idea has grown into a brand dedicated to doing things the right way — with integrity, creativity, and a whole lot of Chico pride.

What We Make

We make potato chips — simple, intentional, and crafted with a focus on quality. No gimmicks, no unnecessary additives, no chasing trends. Just a potato chip made the way it should be: local ingredients, balanced flavor, and a texture that keeps you reaching back into the bag. Our goal is to create a chip that feels familiar but tastes better than you expect, rooted in the culinary values that inspired the brand from day one.  We use local potatoes and olive oil from Butte County, as well as sea salt harvested from Northern California.

As we grow, we stay grounded in the same principles that started it all: make something delicious, make it with integrity, and make Chico proud.

Sea Salt

Simple, clean, and undeniably classic — Chico Chip Co.’s Sea Salt potato chips celebrate the natural flavor of premium potatoes. Each chip is kettle-cooked in olive oil for a golden crunch, then lightly dusted with unrefined sea salt to enhance the potato’s earthy sweetness without overpowering it.

Black Truffle

Decadent and earthy, Chico Chip Co.’s Black Truffle potato chips deliver a gourmet experience in every bite. Kettle-cooked in olive oil for a rich, golden crunch, these chips are infused with the unmistakable aroma of black truffle — deep, savory, and slightly nutty.

Roasted Garlic & Rosemary

Warm, aromatic, and deeply savory — Chico Chip Co.’s Roasted Garlic & Rosemary potato chips bring a rustic, herb‑forward character to every crisp bite. Each kettle‑cooked chip is infused with the mellow sweetness of slow‑roasted garlic, balanced by the piney brightness of fresh rosemary.
